Sound bathing Walkshop with Muna McAdie

About the Workshop

Sound bathing is a meditative experience which invites you to immerse yourself in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice itself. Sound baths are proven to have numerous mental and health benefits including aiding in anxiety, depression and insomnia.

About the Walk

Starting from Hunters Bar, we will follow the Porter Valley trail through Endcliffe Park, Bingham Park and Whitley Woods, prompted to engage with Forest Bathing techniques by Evie Muir. The walk will lead us to Whitely Woods Outdoor Activity Centre where Muna McAdie will host a Sound Bathing session. After lunch, we will continue the walk to Forge Dam, before returning through Whitely Woods to our starting point. This walk is part of Sheffield Walking Festival.

~ Please note: This workshop open to self-defining women and gender diverse people of colour only ~

Yoga & Yoni Healing with Glow Yoga

About the Workshop

Yoni is a Sanskrit word which means "the womb" . From childbirth to sexual violence, the Yoni is often a site of pleasure, joy and also, trauma. Yoni healing, is therefore believed to be beneficial for trauma recovery. The workshop will be held in the Peak District in a beautiful location along the Derwent River, in Hathersage. In this Yoga and Yoni workshop, Glow will guide us to connect with our femininity and set us on a path to healing.

About the Walk

After meeting in the car park outside Hathersage Open Air Swimming Pool, we will embark on a circular walk along the Derwent Valley Heritage Way. Glow Moon Temple will host the Yoga & Yoni Healing workshop which will take place in a meadow, along the banks of the River Derwent. After the workshop we will have a half an hour lunch break before returning to the walk, following the river through Goose Net Wood. We will cross the river at the stepping stones, then head back to the village by crossing the train tracks.

~ Please note: This workshop is open to self-defining Women of Colour, gender non-conforming, non-binary & yoni-owning People of Colour only ~
